I grabbed this capture as I watched this heron defend his territory from a rival Tri-colored Heron. These birds will show some serious aerobatic skills as they fly fast through the air in these territorial battles. I got this shot as the heron was pivoting hard to its right and composed in vertically as I wanted to emphasize the wing position.
