Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge - Merritt Island, Florida

While visiting Merritt Island refuge, we went over to Scrub Ridge Trail for the chance to see some Scrub Jays. Unfortunately, they were not to be found. However, about 5-6 Northern Flickers were flying about, going from tree to tree and interacting with each other in a playful manner. They were quite entertaining. I was able to grab this capture, of two Flickers on opposite sides of a pine tree.
